Sunday, 21 & 28th September 2008
Casting for Snakehead Murrel, Channa Striata (Haruan) with Yap, Richard, Ed and myself. Time was early morning till about 1100hrs. Yap concentrated mostly on casting with his rigged dead frog. A popular local method used to catch Haruan. As for the rest of us, we used a variety of Spinnerbait, Soft Plastics and other artificial lures.

1.3kg Snakehead aka Haruan
Results:
21/9/08 – Landed 3 Haruan. Est 700g (released), 1kg (bagged) by Yap & 1kg by me which was prematurely released. Hey, the trebles got lodged into my fingers. So I decided on my fingers over the fish. It was a fun day.
28/9/08 – Landed 4 Haruan. Myself 2x 800g with lures and released. Yap 1x 800g (approx) released and 1x 1.3kg (bagged) caught with dead bait.

2 different fish caught 20 mins apart from the same swim, photographed the fish by myself, did not want to bring them out from the water actually. But had to do it to one that totally engulfed the treble.
